The Toomaj Salehi Scholarship for
Excellence in Artistry
and Social Change
JINA Alliance is honored to present The Toomaj Salehi Scholarship for Excellence in Artistry and Social Change.
The scholarship is inspired by the exceptional and phenomenal bravery, resilience and intelligence of Iranian rapper and political dissident Toomaj Salehi, recipient of the Havel Prize and one of the most recognizable artists challenging oppression and corruption in Iran. His powerful lyrics and testimonies through song have inspired action and hope across countries and throughout music and art.
This scholarship provides funding to undergraduate and graduate students attending accredited U.S. universities who demonstrate a passion, commitment and ability to integrate music and artistry with advancing social progress, human rights and freedom of expression.

The Payam Scholarship: Honoring Innovation and Resilience
Supporting first and second generation immigrants and refugees pursuing academic STEM programs.
Developed by JINA Alliance Advisory Board member Donya Ziraksari, provided through the Equal Human Rights Org nonprofit.
JINA Alliance is proud to support The Payam Scholarship program developed by 501(c)(3) nonprofit Equal Human Rights Org.
This scholarship is founded in honor of Payam Ziraksari, a brilliant Iranian inventor who was forced to flee his homeland due to the Islamic Republic’s persecution of religious minorities. Despite enduring two years as a refugee in Turkey, Payam’s resilience and intelligence led him to create numerous inventions.
Tragically, Payam passed away in 2024, leaving behind a legacy of creativity, innovation, and perseverance.
In his memory, the Payam Scholarship seeks to empower those who, like Payam, have faced significant challenges, but who possess the potential to contribute greatly to STEM fields.
